I am a young English teacher. How can I persuade my students to participate in classroom activities? If you have any idea, let me know it.
I explain one of my manners for increasing students' interest in class activities.
At the beginning of any term I say to them that it is very important for me weather they take part in class activities or not. And I say it has a high mark.
So when a student do even a little work or say only one word, I give him/her a positive mark and I persuade him/her to do it more.
Also I explain that class activities are more important than final exam. So after some weeks or after a term that they know how class participations are important, they want to do it more or less.
